Paradise Cove Luau
We did the deluxe package, as you arrived you were greeted with a flower lei and got your photo taken with some yummy Hawaiian men. There are plenty of activites to do as everyone arrives; lei making, market stalls, tattoos and plenty of photo opportunities as the sunset goes down. We even saw a family of otters!
Up next a truly traditional hawaiian experience complete with roasting of the suckling pig. We were then seated in the “royal box” at the back of the luau. If i had my choice again i would have gotten the Orchid package so i felt more involved in the night. One good advantage of the delxue package was table service so we didn’t have to go get our dinner from the buffet. Also the souvenir photo and gift at the end of the night was nice.
The entertainment was amazing with fire twirlers, hula girls and even the opportunity to go on stage and learn hula!
A must do while in Oahu. Great night had by all.
Surry Hills, Sydney
A sidewalk cafe in Surry Hills looks like a takeaway shop at first but extending in the back are grafitted walls and many more tables. Service was casual, which isn’t a bad thing.
Miso Salmon is a favourite of mine and this was on point. Melt in your mouth miso goodness. I’m not a massive fan of Eel, but this croquette worked perfectly in this brekkie. As soon as that baked egg bursts it fills your plate with yolk.
Bit on the expensive side. But that wouldn’t stop me from returning just for the miso salmon again. Thanks Devon Cafe - tick done!
The crowds at Cars Land are on another level. If you are lucky enough to have a magic morning - use it! The scenery is amazing. Especially at dusk as the lights come on.

Radiator Springs Racers - feels like you are in the movie! So interactive and amazing. And fast, whizzing past the scenes and in the valley. A whirlwind of fun!
Luigi’s Flying Tires - Like dodgem cars but on a giant air hockey table. Lots of fun but hard ab workout.
Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill
Cosmopolitan Las Vegas
Located in the Cosmo “Foodcourt” area, is Blue Ribbon. We were seated at the prime positioned Sushi bar, where we watched the Itamae in action. They handed us our plates straight from the bar. It was an awesome experience! Service is impeccable.
A great local hidden gem. Service is fantastic. The waitresses come and show you the specials using photos on an iPad - bit different! Always a pleasure to dine here.
Peter Lehmann Winery
The heart of Cellar Door is the old stone winery building dating back to the 1880s. The building has been extensively renovated and extended, with old and new blended seamlessly by stonework, creating a modern hospitality centre within a living history of Barossa winemaking.
Barossa Valley, Australia
Amazing view, indoor/outdoor bar setting with cider tasting!

Such a great hotel in the Barossa! Great getaway spot.
Bread & Circus
parmesan not-so-scrambled eggs - biodynamic eggs w/real truffle oil, under shaved parmesan w/ avocado, baby spinach, fresh herbs and sourdough $20
A vibrant and bright cafe with a a menu that changes daily. The food is its standout feature with a focus on seasonal, organic and biodynamic fare.
Poked into the sunny back corner of what promises to be a foodie precinct, the warehouse is an ideal space for an eatery as relaxed as Bread & Circus, with its daily changing menu, and you can’t help but smile at the strategically placed eggplants, pumpkins or lemons that grace the rough wooden tables.

Bondi Junction, Sydney
They have turned The Eastern into a rooftop Mexican restaurant! The decor is one of the best i have ever seen at a Mexican restaurant, such bright, happy colours with sugar skulls and skeletons everywhere.
The servings are quite small and a little overpriced but delicious! The desserts are not to be missed. Perfect for a group outing.
I had the Kingfish ceviche for entree and Zucchini flower taco for main. Tried one of all the desserts, the doughnuts were the standout for sure!
Thanks El Topo!
